I used the rock candy crackle paint on the tag and then the vintage photo over it. I also took inspiration from Tim Holtz's tag #1 by using the pine cone and the NOEL die cut. I also used the technique with the glassine paper and alcohol ink and cut the holly from Alterations Holly and branch die. I used the glossy accents to seal the top so I could put the Picket Fence Distress Stickles over it and the brown from the tag wouldn't seep through and make it dirty snow. I love heating the Distress Stickles because it bubbles and puffs up so you can get cool looking snow.

Noel
I was looking at tags people have posted on Pinterest and came across a beautiful tag that lead me to this blog http://thefunkiejunkie.blogspot.com/2011/09/challenge-12-tags-of-christmas-funkie_24.html. I love the look she achieved and wanted to do something like it. Her whole blog has beautiful samples on it. I put a link on the side to the Funkie Junkie, go check it out.

I really like this one too, SherRee! But I think I would have added a little red to the Noel letters! They kind of get lost in the background! Just my opinion! But I really do like it!
ReplyDeleteYou know I thought the same thing. I had some stuff out trying and then thought maybe it was too much. I will add the red. Thanks Sandy
ReplyDeletegreat solution!!!
ReplyDeleteThe black offset Noel does make it pop more. Thanks Sandy
